For this amazing session, Monique had been searching for an East Bay newborn photographer, and she ended up finding me through her friend who had a newborn session with me a few months ago. Her son was already seven days old, but she reached out to me to see if she could book a session. Luckily, I had an opening two days later! Perfect timing!
The day of the session, I was surprised because the whole family showed up! But I don’t blame them—they’ve been waiting for this little bundle of joy, too! It was a fun time, and I loved watching all of them ooh and ahh with adoration over the newest member of the family. Not a single smile faded while they were in my studio. I kind of wanted to take a picture of Baby’s audience, so he could see just how much he was loved right from the very start.
East Bay Newborn Photographer Session Details
This nine-day-old dreamt soundly throughout his first photoshoot, only peeking out once to look into his daddy’s eyes. What an amazing photo! I know babies can’t purposefully smile yet, but I’m pretty sure that’s a true look of love right there. The dark navy, green, and tan colors they picked were perfect for these photos, accentuating his soft skin and precious newborn features, and the photos with parents were stunning—it’s easy to see that they are both so in love with this handsome little guy!
The birth of a new baby is such an exciting time for families. They’ve waited nine long months, and now the one they’ve been dying to meet is finally here! During pregnancy, parents wonder what their little features will look like—will they take after Mom or Dad? Will they have light or dark eyes? (Some even wonder which gender they will be!) They’ve longed to hold their little ones, feel that soft skin, and see those impossibly tiny fingers and toes in person. The first couple weeks after birth are magical. Parents and baby get to bond and find a groove with each other. I LOVE being able to capture those sweet moments for families.
Congratulations, and welcome to the world, little one!
